Dreams, something we all strive to attain. Why is it though, that we often have to “face the facts” or “come back to reality”. When we limit ourselves, by placing others views of the norm, infront of our dreams, that is the minute they die. Dreams never have to die. It is our choice to let our passions fade away into darkness, or flourish. What will you decide?
The words and views of others often bring us down. It is the people who believe and support our drems that we must keep close. We have to stop listening to people who want us to “be like them”. These are the people who are unable to overcome obstacles in their lives, these are the people that are stuck in dead end jobs that they hate going to, these are the people who want none of us to truly enjoy the lives we could be living. So with all this negativity that they throw our way, why is it that we choose to take their words, and apply them or believe them to be total truths? We need to stop this. Surround yourselves with only positive people, but do not neglect the negative ones. We have the power to change their mindsets. We have to show them that dreams never have to die. The more times we can overcome daily obstacles, the easier it will become to show others how to do the same, espicially the ones who told you to “live in the real world” or “get a steady job”. Look these people in their eyes and say, I am living my dreams, and I am enjoying what i do. Once we can free our minds from others ideals, it is then that we can truly achieve our dreams and live the lives we all deserve.
I challenge you all today, to take your true passion or childhood dream and live it. It you wanted to be an astronaut you do not have to give up your job and convince NASA that they need you. Do the next best thing, take flying lessons. This will be the moment that you turned back to your dreams and lived it, even it is was in a small way. Think like a child, no matter how funny it may sound, a child knows no limits, they do not understand the difference between dreams and “reality” Think like a child my friends, and free yourselves, Never Let Your Dreams Die.
